ELA Development's underpinning philosophy is to work in partnership with our clients to deliver cost-effective and bespoke interventions.  This means we work hard to build strong relationships and truly understand your needs. Therefore, if we were successful we would ensure that you are not just given an ‘off-the-shelf’ solution to a pre-defined list of requirements.  We would make sure that every piece of work we do, and every conversation we have, is truly matched to your needs.

Our delivery approach is pragmatic and experiential.  We create memorable learning experiences – research shows this increases the long-term likelihood of continued work-place application – and work to the premise that to deliver sustained change individuals need to adapt their mindsets and behaviours.  We create safe learning environments where participants can be challenged – by themselves, by us and by other participants.

Equality and Quality

We state our unequivocal commitment to working towards equality for all individuals, in our working relationships as associates and colleagues, for our clients and their staff. The materials and development techniques employed will be designed to be inclusive of all participants on the programme, to harness positively all contributions that individuals can make.  

 

We aim to challenge sensitively any discriminatory practice or behaviour as it impacts on other participants, the organisation and ourselves. All our materials are vetted for stereotyping or unacceptable biases, with all materials designed to convey positive images.  

 

We also aim to model anti-discriminatory practice in the way we work as consultants and facilitators.  Our model of working is based on valuing differences and actively seeking different gender, race and disability perspectives.  We aim to ensure that the venues we use are accessible to people with a range of disabilities.

 

We actively seek out the opportunity to work with organisations that are addressing the area of equality.  In our work with organisations having a limited level of awareness, we will actively raise and address these issues within the cultural boundaries of those organisations.  

 

We work from a belief that anti-discriminatory practice is integral to good practice.
